SSD unmounted itself

Thread Starter
I was playing Fallout 4 and I have it and all my mods installed on my 2nd SSD. In the middle of playing the game froze and wouldn't even go back to desktop. I kept pressing alt f4 and it finally went back. I figured it was just my mods causing a CTD. So I tried starting it again and it said it couldn't find the game. I went to My Computer and noticed my "SSD 2" wasn't even showing up. I restarted and I had the same problem. So I shut down and unplugged and plugged in all the sata and power cables to my drives, which I don't think could have been the problem because the SATA cables are the kind that lock and my PSU has been working strong for 3 years.

It finally showed up under my computer so I just copied and pasted the entire contents to my backup HDD. It seems to be working fine now. My issue is that I really don't think it was a SATA cable or my PSU.

How would I check to see what went wrong with it? I plan on sending it in for an RMA anyways because I already copied the contents over so there's no risk of losing everything.

It's a Crucial MX 256gb I got about 1 year ago. My PC is in my sig. My PC is about 2 months old. I'm running Win 10

Use CrystalDisk Info to check for any errors on that drive.
