GTX 1070 FE logo LED dead?

So I bought a 1070 Founder's Edition yesterday on a whim while walking through Best Buy. Get home, get it all plugged in and running, start doing benches and gaming samples, all is going as expected, but then I glance down into the case and notice the side logo isn't lighting up. I checked the LED Visualizer settings in GE and all looks right there, but I got nothing out of the card. Best I can tell the LED must be dead or not connected right, which leaves me a couple options. Do I...

Leave it alone since the card is clearly running just fine and it's just a cosmetic bit?

Take advantage of buying from a B&M and go swap it for a new one(...or maybe one of the 1080s they also had in stock...)

Take it apart and see if I can just re-seat a connector or something to try and fix it?

I'm pretty torn at this point. I shouldn't care about a silly cosmetic light, but at the same time I paid $450 for the damn thing, and it should all work, right?

Alternatively if anyone has experienced something like this before and can tell me how to just fix it, that'd be great too.

i would just exchange it. It may be a small cosmetic thing but like you said you paid $450 for something it should work. Personally for me it would drive me nuts. thumb.gif

Yeah I ended up taking it back last night and swapping it for a new one. Tossed the new one in, booted it up, and the logo lit immediately. A little silly but I definitely feel much happier about it now biggrin.gif
