Fixed that for you.

I will only buy a monitor which has DP 1.3/1.4 running at 4K resolution with 120 hz refresh rate and costing not more than $500 for 24" screen.

The above specs are reasonable and doable with current technology. I don't know what is holding companies back?

4K wont be happening on a 24" display. You might have to wait for good.

Already has. Not 120Hz though.

Prepare to never own a 4K 120hz monitor if you're expecting a ~$500 price tag.
Even if you spend more than ~$500 prepare to spend multiples of that in enough graphics power to drive 4K 120hz tongue.gif
I don't have a dozen benchmarks around to post, but just searching and looking at some it looks like 2 GTX 1080 would struggle in some games. Now if you calculate average fps it might struggle in many more. I'm not sure how well the pascal cards scale in SLI. I would say DirectX 12 could help, maybe in the future.

I just love bumping up against the crappy DP 1.2 ceiling for the last two years.

This is so pointless, not even worth the announcement. This isn't "news", it is "olds" as there are already many 27" gaming monitors.

Acer, want to impress me? Make my X34 about 4" higher & with added pixels. Otherwise, don't try to sell me old stuff.
