[Corsair] RGB fans, new Air 740 case, new Crystal 460X RGB case, new Polaris RGB mousepad, CUE 2.0 software - Page 6

You know, it was cool back in the nVidia GeForce 6 and ATi Radeon R400 series where everyone seemed to have some cold cathode light tube to give their cases some flare..

But today? Get that garbage out of here man. Its so annoying that even RAM these days have some stupid RGB light built into them.

Why? Get yourself a nice cloth mouse pad like Puretrak Talent and be done with it. I used to get metal coated or plastic ones from Razer and after awhile it would be so smooth from the area you use that it made no sense to phony up another 20~60 bucks for a hard coated mouse pad.

Can someone explain the blue case to me? are there right- and left-side window options on this case?

The blue one is mirrored, you can tell by looking at the motherboard and GPU.

The fan graphs at Thermalbench are getting might crowded these days, lol. I'm glad to see this fan performed well and and a slight increase from it's predecessor.

Cloth is a cat hair magnet, which then gets stuck in my mouse. Ready to try a different approach

Yeah. I wanted something bigger then 540 but this one looks too ugly. Wish it looked something like the one with glass panels.

Indeed, I'm quite impressed with the fans Corsair has been releasing lately, they're a bit pricey, but at least they're good. thumb.gif

Tell me about it! It doesn't help that I am using a science data analysis and plotting software either. The trends are not consistent either or else I could have done a few bar graphs of various Y axis values at certain X axis values.

It should be standard in all gaming gear going forward. I'm a Logitech guy so I'm waiting for an RGB mousepad from them (don't want two applications when I could just use the one from Logitech) but otherwise, speak for yourself on the RGB hype. You don't have to buy it, but I certainly want it.

Same here. I'm a logitech guy myself.

I like RGB.

I haven't seen the "teens" in several decades.

To each their own. I like RGB lighting.

Same, I was hoping the 740 would be a true successor for my old 540. Very upsetting to see how poorly this 740 turned out in my eyes. The design is so bleh, why couldnt they just take the 540, made the side panel full acrylic or tempered glass and flipped the psu vertically to reduce the width... :/

edit: at least theres dust filters on all openings now? i guess thats a positive... lol

also with the 460X / 400C - I've heard reports of longer PSUs having space issues in there while keeping the HDD bay - would there be a problem with my 750G2? I think its 180mm + modular connectors but not sure.

Its been a while, but I came across a (I think it was Flash powered sadly) graph a few times that allowed the viewer to choose which items to display on the graph, it was pretty handy.

I wonder if there's a HTML5 equivalent.

Edit: this would do it i think, check the multi series line chart examples:
