can the HD 6990 run doom 4?

how well will the HD 6990 run doom 4 on medium to high settings at 1080p screen resolution? i have the chance to snag an amd 6990 for 100 us dollars even and right now i run a 750 ti. now i know there are newer and better cards from both amd and nvidia but im on disability so i have a fixed budget because i get paid only one time a month and its a fixed payment from the government any how

my screen res is 1920x1080p and i usually play my games at medium to high

the 2 games i play right now that my 750 ti is horrible at are doom 4 and the witcher 3 both unplayable with my 750 ti

rest of my specs xeon W3565 cpu at stock settings and 16 gigs ddr3 ram psu will be 800 watts to power said card

It can but realistically it's only as powerful as a 7950/7970. Find one of those at a better price, thermals and performance that comes without having to worry about crossfire drivers.

Look up some reviews and see how the 6970 does since its basically two of those cross fired. The game still doesnt support Cross fire so thats all it will run like

Even find a 960 used. Trust me, this cards too old to be of any real use.

That's on ultra...hell if you find a 760 that's by some reports better than a 960

get an used HD 7970 or 7950 it will outperform both(compared to HD 6990 when it doesnt support CF)

You got bad info somewhere. The gtx 960 is definitely a step up from the 750ti or two. Considering the gtx 760 is a step up from the 750ti, and the 960 is a generation newer but the same range card. Is it worth upgrading from a 750ti to a 960? IMO, no..
