Not sure if CPU temps are being picked up correctly

Hi,
As the titles suggests, i think i have a problem with the sensors or something because i am currently running a A8 7650K @ 4.5GHz with like +0.114v(can double check) and when i run benchmarks core temp only goes up to 63c and doesn't go any higher, also when running i have CPUz out and it goes from 3100MHz all the way up to 4500MHZ. Could this be thermal throttling? i am running on air cooling with 5 other case fans.
Many thanks.

It could absolutely be thermal throttling. If I recall correctly, the A8s begin throttling at 60C. They really can't take much more than that safely.

Oh s*it, so will this be damaging my chip? Because I've had it running like this for about 2days. Are you suggesting I should get a cpu liquid cooling loop?
Think max safe operating temp for that CPU is like 72C so you should be fine, not really sure it's worth the investment for a custom loop to cool an A8, and I doubt an AIO liquid cooler will do much better than a decent air cooler

Well I've ran stress tests for 1hour on my 4.4GHz which is stable but temps don't get above 63c. Is this just the acutal temp or is it like a glitch? I was only thinking of a 100$ liquid CPU cooler.

On an A8 you would get the same performance and far less noise from a $40 air cooler.

So something like a master evo 212?

The Cryorig H7, be quiet! Pure Rock and a few others are a bit better in the same price range.

Looking at the be quiet pure rock. Noise isn't an issue for me as I don't mind it. Only thing is care about is temps. Is it a good cooler for over clocking?
What ciarlatano said. Cryorig H7 is very good.

If you plan to overclock, I would get more cooling ability .. definitely optimize case airflow so the cooler intake air temp is 5c or less above room ambient. (Ways to Better Cooling link in my sig. 1st post is index, click on topic to see it, 5th is good place to start.)

What case, motherboard and RAM do you have?
