Not bad.

In other words, Polaris will be quite revolutionary in terms of perf/watt. Yes, better than Pascal in this respect.

Don't rely too much on PR slides buddy. I am sure you based off on that 2.5x claim AMD made.

I based it on AMDs 70/30 figure which came out of Raja's mouth. But I also said that if Polaris increased it's clock speed then that figure would drop (included below). Other gems can be found below.
Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

When I used to say Big Polaris, I was talking about what we now call Vega. This was prior to Vega being known.

As for my predictions on the GTX 1070... dead on. In fact, per clk, Pascal is slightly slower than Maxwell but the difference is so tiny that you could claim they're equal on a per clk basis.

I also used the 6,144 Stream Processor count WAY before Guru3D or anyone else mentioned it for Vega.

This business is not a charity. nVidia is small as well and also has been denied and held back by Intel. Instead they created new markets to compete with Intel in a different way.

The problem with AMD is not that they create inferior tech, just that they execute it poorly and have poor vision for their company. Their timing is also consistently off. They have been doing pretty good in gaming by getting contracts for the consoles but missed just about any other market they could get into. That is not the fault of the consumer and especially not gamers who should have bought a couple more gaming cards.

I'm sure if AMD had 80% market share people who have no idea how to run a buisness would be calling AMD cheaters and liars as well. Its just a fact of life.

I personally support the products that i'm familiar with unless the competition can get me to convert i wont.

FX 8350 is fine for my gaming needs and daily googling smile.gif i don't need a $1k cpu to do those things. I'm not a entusiast that needs the newest and most expensive product, i buy what i like then tweek it to my liking thats all.

AMD have been spending a lot on PR. As much as nvidia according to their own books.
Claiming "no money" when you aren't even checking if its true...
Just a couple of years ago AMD fired their previous PR company (which pretty much did the exact same thing as they are doing now), for spending a huge amount of money on "hate campaigns".

You using and supporting the products that your favourite manufacture is making is apparently fine (as long as its AMD), but when someone say "yeah everyone are buying nvidia/intel because they are sheep" its suddenly not fine. Same as your claims that AMD will be called a lier and cheaters regardless (which I didn't).

Also no one is trying to sell you a 1000$ CPU. Who said you must buy one? Now you are just stretching it.
