cleaning old motherboard

Thread Starter
i have an 1155 motherboard uncovered lying around in my bedroom for ~2 years. I'm afraid some dust might have accumulated in the socket area where the pins are. whats the best way to clean this motherboard with lowest risk of damaging the board? Can i use my datavac to clean this or will that damage the pins?

I used my datavac on a friends board including the uncovered cpu socket, I just kept it at a good distance away from the socket just because I was worried about it as you are.
