I have windows 10 on a laptop, its the full desktop version, I used a program to sniff out the Serial Key. I'm trying to see if its possible to erase the OS from the laptop and use windows 10 on my desktop using the laptops serial key?

saw the article here but i don't know enough about OS software to confirm if it works http://lifehacker.com/5958507/uninstall-your-windows-product-key-so-you-can-use-the-license-on-another-pc

There are no laptop/desktop versions of win 10. Just Home, Pro, Enterprise and Education.
Do you have an OEM install or a Retail install?

So you have an OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer's) version.

Alas, those can not be installed on any computer other than the one they came on.

There are other ways though, but those can't be discussed on a public forum.
