Not that I personally buy iPhones, but I can't imagine buying a high end phone (or any phone for that matter) that doesn't have a headphone jack.

That is SO Sony a la 2006.

When the great Woz is telling you as a company not to do something, you should probably listen.

They have a lightning-to-3.5mm converter included in the box. Wireless EarPods will be released late October, which is what I'm more excited about as this will finally have them going mainstream and hopefully spur more development. No more cords!

Edit: that's not to say that the sound quality will be all the great, but that can always be improved by third-party manufacturers

The storage capacities are 32GB, 128GB, and 256GB.

It's nice that 16GB is finally dead, but the way they keep skipping one tier to encourage buyers to go for the next one is cheeky. Still, one thing I like about Apple is that they're at least offering the choice of the higher capacities, even if it's so expensive. 256GB is really damn nice.

Anyway, won't be too interested in an iPhone until next year when they finally get OLED displays.

Well, maybe for sheeplings that holds true, but if you really wanted some wireless iems then you would know that there are ****ton of them available. I am pretty sure they will just use the most generic bluetooth module that chinese use in their wireless earphones and put premium price on it.

PS if someone wanted to know, you can get cheapish high quality wireless earphones for less than a 30usd shipped to your door, for example QCY qy19 or 12 are pretty nice and their price is even nicer.

I agree BUT I will be switching over from my Note 5 to test the water on iOS being as I have never had one before and 15 day return policy so if I dont like it no harm no foul. The adapter being included also helps but its still an annoyance.

Edited original post to reflect both of these and added in pricing.

No headphone jack so you can spend even more money on new BT headphones. Well played, Apple.

iPhone has been rocking the same screen since iPhone 4. it's funny how they say that battery life is improved because of the CPU. Almost everything in this iPhone 7 is a Android feature already.

Love the Jet Black but I am waiting for the S

So...no go for me or anyone I know in my office. The headphone jack is a major fault. I have several pairs over $100 and would not want to carry around another cable with me and not be able to charge the phone at the same time...

I hadn't use my phone headphone jack for a a few years now.
I have bluetooth headsets (both over-ear headphones for music and bone-conducting headphones for running/cycling), and I barely even remember where I put my lined headphones.

The only really issue here is what happens when you need to both charge the iPhone, and use the earbuds included?

Lol at quad LED flash. Can't compare to my LG G3 Dual LED when it comes to how bright it gets. Dual cameras are used in a lot of phones. Apple used it for Zoom, LG used it Wide, others have used it for other things.

While this might be true there are other things that the iPhones do have that no Androids do, off the top of my head hardware/performance wise they are leaps and bounds a head in storage with their own NVMe SSD for their phones. Is it groundbreaking? No but is something that they do have over android. Also yes apple didnt invent NVMe SSD storage either but that goes with almost everything with a iPhone anyways, what they did do? They implement it WELL and almost flawlessly. Also until Google steps up their game with forcing OEM's with timely updates and actually releases a competitor to iMessage (Maybe Allo?) Apple will definitely be ahead in software as well. (Considering most Google apps you can just get on iOS anyway...) This is coming from a LONG time android user who's finally going to make the switch, I will use whatever is best for me and I have no hate to one side or the other.

No headphone jack is a deal breaker for me. I have a number of noise cancelling headphones that I use when travelling that I dont feel the need to replace. The addition of the adapter doesn't cut it as its just another thing I have to deal with when on a plane and another piece of hardware that can reduce quality or allow somethin
