I have found other cases but wonder if any of you guys on here are having these issues?

Happened all the time with my Note 4. It might be a carrier issue.

Pros
Extremely fast. Much faster than my 6 and 6s.

Heavy and well built. Was never a fan of the large phones but after having it, it will be hard to go back to a small phone.

NO HISSING! Not sure where people are getting that from. Even the YT vids I've seen you can't hear it.

The matte black finish is spectacular. About time they did this. I absolutely love it.

The lack of an actual home button. Although I never had issues with the 6, the home button on my 6s was starting to fail.

The 3D touch is pretty cool however I'm not really a fan of it.

iOS 10 seems crisper. Maybe it's just me or maybe it's the A10 chip but it just seems quicker.

Takes really nice photos and video although I must confess I can't tell the difference from photos/video taken with previous versions.

Battery life is much, much longer than the 6 and 6s. I do like that.

Cons
Time to take a photo is long. Seems like it has been that way since the 6.

The black finish while cool is prone to scratches and smudges. Case is most definitely a must.

This is a HUGE con. Since upgrading to the new phone my bluetooth earbuds fail to connect correctly. They will mate to the phone however no sound will play. This is a daily occurrence and since I refuse to use corded earbuds because I'm training it's a huge inconvenience. I literally have to erase the earbuds from the phone, restart the phone and re-connect the earbuds. Big PITA!

And finally, yes the battery lasts longer but it also takes a bit longer to charge. Not a big deal since the 7 Plus will last me all day I just plug it in at night and it's good to go in the morning.

I really really love this phone. Curious what Apple has planned for the 8.

Test show 7 is no faster than 6s. In fact in animation it might be slower because A10. Storage/IO speed has no change so the phone should not 'feel" faster.

I could (though I'd likely go for an iPhone 7 if I were to actually turn it in) but the Note 7 is the phone I want with all the features I want so I'm just gonna keep this replacement phone, screw it. I know with absolute certainty that there is nothing wrong with this phone, and there was nothing wrong with the phone it replaced either for that matter. Not worried even a little...

I wouldn't take the chance. There is an inherent design defect with all Note 7s (this is all over Korean media and I'm Korean). I would turn it in.

No company would suddenly stop making a product if they didn't knew something was seriously wrong. If you have a chance of swapping it, swap it. There are so many good alternatives.

had a 3gs, 4, 4s then moved to a moto x since I never tried android before.

now I'm back to a 7

ios is great, missed the beauty of its simplicity and how everything just works with no weird hiccups, quirks, freezes, etc

makes you realize that sometimes its worth paying the extra $$ for the OS and user experience even if you feel the specs arent across the board class leading

besides that the phone itself is sexy, taptic button is addictive, screen is great (who cares about res on a screen this small its a phone go home w/ the e-peen), battery life is great, camera great, aluminum matte finish is slippery needs a case asap

dont miss the audio jack at all

ios makes you wish google would just yank android away from all the 3rd party manufacturers so they themselves can just release 1-2 phones completely focused on software, user experience, and security updates but alas its not the same climate circa 2007 where a single product defined a brand new genre of gadgets.

.

That will destroy what makes Android unique in that consumers have a choice whereas with Apple it's "my way or the highway".

But I understand your sentiment. Streamlined user experience (iOS) coupled with the most powerful mobile hardware (A10 quad core CPU, PowerVR GPU), you can't go wrong.

I've generally had less Bluetooth issues on Android than iOS...usually a much more smooth-sailing experience. Have you checked to ensure your Bluetooth headset does not have a firmware update (if applicable)?

Also, for my 6S Plus previously, I found the iPad charger (10w or so) to charge the phone considerably faster with no adverse effects.

You may want to try and reset your Network Settings. I've had this happy on an iPhone and an older Android phone before. Usually has something to do with the Networks not being routed correctly. Sometimes your carrier can push a specific config to your phone if you give them a ring.

As much as I wish this would be a good solution, you will eventually run into software issues. The first major one will the fact you will get nothing more than 6.0.1 on the phone. And the phone desperately needs Doze that 7.0 will offer. Rooting would be an option, but I don't think many of the devs are going to bother with a phone that a very small number of people decided to keep for the sake of it (I could be wrong, though, eh?).

Eventually app support will be a little shoddy. The platform in general is similar enough to the S7/S7E that it shouldn't be so bad, but bugs that become specific to your device are going to be something that won't be able to be recreated for bug purposes, etc.

So yes, even if your phone lasts the next 10 years with absolutely no issues, you will run into issues far sooner than that due to the sheer fact of fragmentation.

Think it may be carrier related. I have Sprint currently. Had Little issues like that even when I was with Verizon.

Huh? Because I can pull up a dozen tests now showing the opposite. That the 7 is indeed faster. Guess my opinion is probably just subjective. rolleyes.gif

Ya checked that. Never had the issue when using iOS 9. That's why I assumed it was a 10 bug.
