I haven't yet, but I should. I will try and retrieve the BSOD error for us.

I have some more testing results that I've come up with. I went ahead and installed the new set of RAM I had, and I now have the MemTest86 results. Again, these results are with the i7-950 installed.

So, after I concluded that my RAM shouldn't have any faults, I went ahead and installed the X5690 back in. I was gaming on it with no issues last night, and before I went to bed I ran Prime95 again. 12 threads, 8K-4096K, "Run FFTs in Place" On, and 20 minutes for each FFT size. I remoted into my desktop from my phone, and came to a screen with Prime95 crashed again. It looked fairly similar to the same behavior as before. The following is what everything looked like when it peaked. Notice, DRAM voltages aren't that high anymore after installing the X5690.

The following is the results from Prime95 last night as well.

I no longer have any clue as to what is going on with my system.

I hope somebody can still help me out here. I went ahead and reset the CMOS, and reconfigured the BIOS again.

This time around I set the X5690's speeds to the lowest possible. I simply changed the BCLK to 133MHz, and the multiplier to 12x. I will report back with more information.

I have not forgot about retrieving the BSOD errors!

Just download a program called bluescreen reader.

I conducted the same Prime95 test to my system with the lowest clocks still, and Prime95 crashed again the same way. This time around it simply cut off when recording results, and it did not show any rounding errors like it did before.

Run a 10 pass of IBT, if it passes it's fine...medieval.gif

I will try IntelBurnTest next.

I am not using any software overclocking tools.

I must say that I am becoming worn out with this issue!

Set to maximum ram usage and 20 runs. Have u tried another version of prime95 yet ? Try 27.9 or 26.6. Using anything other then 26.6 makes absolutely no sense to me. 26.6 was the #1 thing for stability testing during the generation of your cpu. I'd get 26.6 and blend test for 4-6 hours. If it passes stop worrying and use your computer lol.

What are your north bridge temps? I have the same mobo and processor on one of my rigs and my northbridge would get really toasty and cause instability with the x5690. I added a cheapo universal active chipset cooler just for overclocking the x5690.
