Help with CPU + GPU loop ... adding a 120 rad is necessary ?

I just get a used watercooling setup really cheap from my friend. my plan is also install a full cover to my GPU.
1 -Is really necessary to install a additional 120mm radiator to the loop ? If someone have a similar setup please upload temp results
2- the DDC 3.2 is enough ? I ported and polish every single fitting to get the less restriction possible biggrin.gif

This is the wc setup
XSPC EX360 Crossflow Radiator with 3 Koolance 2200RPM / 90 CFM / 4.1mm-H2O
Watercool Heat Killer 3.0
Laing DDC 3.2 + Phobya Top cover

you only have to cool enough to keep your cpu from frying, the rest is for preference and show. I have deepcool 240 it has 2 120mm red and black fans on a black radiator also 240mm.

LOL my CPU temps after delid and ihs lapping are really good, 4.5Ghz - 40ºC Full load Cinebench / Real bench and 60ºC AVX (Prime 95 - Linx ). But the GPU is arround 80ºc redface.gif

GTX1070 isn't a particularly hot GPU so I think you'd get away with integrating it into that loop.

I would like to see more info on this port and polish process you did. What fittings do you have the need casting ridges ground off and polished?

That radiator should be fine, but a second small radiator may help a little in terms of being able to run your fans fractionally slower to get the same temps (or running your fans the same speed to get cooler temps).

Going from 3 lots of 120mm rad space to 4 lots of 120mm rad space isn't a massive increase so you might not see a much difference in practice, there are a lot of factors, like fan speed, air flow, and water flow to a small extent.

I don't quite like the way the tube has to go uphill to the pump.
I suppose it doesn't really matter cause the column of water in the reservoir will always be tall enough to have the weight to push water up the tube into the pump. Personally I would try and raise the reservoir slightly just to make me sleep better.

Actually now that I look at it again, you can't move the reservoir any higher cause of the radiator.
I have the same reservoir, its good for catching bubbles when you put the pump on full speed, as not many make it back into the pump.

I have some porting tools for cylinders heads, the EK fittings have like +/- 1mm of material that can be removed, the most resctritive ones are 90º have a lot of material that can be removed but just for caution i only removed like 0.5mm

Probably i will remove the green hard drive is horrible ahaha. I don't have any space between the radiator, reservoir and the case

Well the waterblock just arrived, my goverment just **** in the arse with the taxes i ended up paying 270u$d for the it. redface.gif But i'm really happy with the performance, with the 360 only the temps are really good
I need to clean a bit the cables and get some new fittings, next step probably is getting a smaller reservoir and hard line
