hmm. maybe i have to revise my statement. then I use 280mm rads in pedestal. so for 240mm it could fit.

can only provide you that info: the single 90° rotary will fit in between rad and S3 bottom. you will need to got for narmal 90° (no rotary) and rotate with the pass through

The Dimensions are all I need. A passthrough extends from the bottom of the S3 12mm when inserted into the hole I will Drill.

So 12mm for Full length of Passthrough. Then another 26.6mm with the Rotary 90degree. That is 38mm or 1 1/2"

Also I have the diameter of the Compression fittings to worry about also that will add to the 38mm...

So they would look like this attached to the 90degree.... Lets say... another 10mm? So 48mm Total?

So lets call it.... 2" Give or take a couple 1/8ths of an Inch.

S3 pedestal is able to take care of 2x 60mm thick rads and 2 x D5's without an issue (know it from personal experience).

Hmm.... thinking.gif My DDC reasoning is based on the Size and stature of the DDC. 62mm both ways is hard to beat for my situations that I have put the DDC's in. The Sex appeal is awesome for me. I love just checking them out after the build is complete.

Noise has never been a problem in terms of DDC. I had a D5 vario in the 750D I built, and will admit it was very quite, to the point of having to put my ear to the floor of the case, making sure it was working.

I mean, Look at this!! This is why I get DDC pumps. I love the size, and flow rate of them. Also, I get them because I just plug them into a molex and run them at 100% with no worries or question of PWM capabilities.

The 60mm thick rads in the pedestal are not the concern, it is how tall they stand in the bottom of the case mounted, that concerns me. What will be my distance from the top of the rad to the bottom of the S3?

TCO
Damn, that pump looks good!

No question that those DDC's look fantastic with the custom parts.thumb.gif
Being a more compact design than the D5's, they're well-suited for this build, imo.

I have to agree that you do these build logs to show people how to overcome obstacles.
My head is spinning after seeing some of the posts of the obstacles you're working on, but they sure are educational, lol.biggrin.gif

Remember, this is a shot of the DDC from Southern Persuasion wink.gif

I do not have any of the pumps yet for this build. Hopefully can snag them this coming week after payday wheee.gif

I wasn't going to say that, but I am glad you did. I think they are easier to fit into tight spaces, the way the inlet/outlet are set up (On the Pump top) really are fantastic for tube routing in very tight spaces. Yet another benefit of a DDC thumb.gif

The DDC pictured is from Southern Persuasion. I cannot take credit for that polish job (Yet wink.gif ) on this build. Though in the pictured DDC that was my Polish Work.

Here is another From when I polished up that Top.

90° no rotary Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Since the rad in my pictures is a 280mm one, you should have no issue with a 240mm rad for both types of 90° adapter, but at least for the single rotary you will need an elongation adapter to overcome the area of the interference with the rad.
why not use a non rotary 90 and a D-plug to attach your radiator to the pass through? I assume bitspower still makes d-plugs? Could modify it to single o-ring if it's too tall. I play around with different fittings to find ones that will seal in the direction you want, they all are threaded in different locations, got more to test with?

The 'issue' is that in case of the foreseen dual loop one of the pass through will be directly above the radiator in the pedestal. So you can't use the straight fitting / adaptor.

Excellent pictures! Sorry If I was a little coy earlier with you as a late response from you almost led me to believe that I had pushed you away. redface.gif

Reason for spoiler pictures, is that this is my buildlog, and I would prefer not to have other builds take away from the main goal of the S3 and Pedestal., as least while someone is scrolling through looking for the correct picture of a diagram, etc, etc.

What radiator are you using so I can attempt to look up the dimensions by width, not length? Or if you know that answer, would be great also.

+ Rep for the Pictures, as the follow up is very nice.

I feel like the short non rotary 90 might be perfect, as the passthrough actually turns and the 90 can be tightened down all of the way to make sure it is leak free. thumb.gif
