Where to plug pump into?

Thread Starter
It's my first custom loop and I'm confused on where I should be plugging the pump into. Should I take a molex to 4pin and hook it up to the cpu fan on the motherboard, a sys fan or use a psu 4pin molex? What should I do about the 5 radiator fans?

It doesnt matter overall. If you want the pump to run at full RPM at all times a direct plug to the PSU is fine.

5 rad fans mean you have a 3 fan and a 2 fan? You could use a 2 splitter to a 4 pin for the one rad and a 3 splitter plus molex to a 4 pin. Doesnt matter CPU or sys really. Whatever software you use will have access to the pwm of both kinds and you'll know which one goes where to set your fan curves.

I can't answer without knowing what pump it is. Is it PWM, Vario, DC adjusted?

But I can tell you that you should not be powering it from a MB header no matter what pump it is.
