Need GPU Upgrade recommendations on budget

My current specs are in my sig. Other than overclocking my CPU to 3.3ghz nothing else has been overclocked. I added a $40 used HD5770 to run Crossfire a couple years back and it gave just enough extra power to get me by for another year or so, but now I am starting to have trouble playing new games. mainly DOOM and Dying light,

So, im on kinda a budget so at the moment I am not going to go crazy and rebuild the whole system. My question is, what would be a good budget upgrade from what I am running now? I know I could only go so crazy with the GPU before the CPU and other items become a bottleneck, or do I already have a performance bottleneck? Should I look at overclocking my CPU more and even over clock the GPUs?

I'm thinking if I throw another 8gb of ram in there and a GPU with at least a couple gig of memory on it I should be able to run new games alot better. What do you guys think?

Your I5 is plenty strong and can easily overclock. The only thing I would change is the GPU. What is your budget?

Budget is probably around $200 for the GPU, I have no problem buying used cards too if I find a deal!

Looks like a badass card. Other than the GPU, anything else worth doing? would another 8gb of ram make a difference, and how far should I try to overclock my cpu with my current cooling system ?

You can easily do 4.5 ghz and try to find some used ram on the OCN market for cheap. You can resell your 5770s for some cash, try selling locally. You can also grab a larger capacity SSD.

Also a 1060 3gb here from jet would be a good contender.

$169.26 with debit card, no return and triple15 discount.

Here are some benchmarks comparing a 1060 to a 470

Edit: The 1060 also appears to draw about 80 watts less than the 470 while both are overclocked.

unless you play at 4k max settings , 4GB will be fine

Cool, no 4k for me until maybe my next full build. Just want to run everything at 1080p on high to max settings

In my opinion I would get a rx480 4gb, 8 gbs of 2133 ram, and overclock your cpu more.
