They're using their so-called specialized Razer Gaming Switches lachen.gif . Hence who knows what's inside them, definitely not Omron standard so if you want to compete with Logitech, Razer will do what it has always done before. Drop the quality, use sub-standard hardware then spend tonnes of money marketing it to noobs everywhere.

That is the Razer Corp. way, appeal to the ignorant whilst pretending to compete with the last decent manufacturer of mice, Logitech.

Hate having to compare one corporation to another but going on past history, Logitech will take the high ground whilst Razer will dwell in the sewers trying to earn a living.

Maybe they couldn't make a deal because Razer already did. biggrin.gif

It would be awesome if they made 50m D2F-01F switches.

Isn't the D2F-01 spring two pieces? Which means they simply make the high wear piece longer lasting.

You know the mouse industry is in a poor state when you're considering a Razer product.

The weight and braided cable are unfortunate, but as long as the scroll wheel isn't rattling and the mouse feet glide smoothly I'd pick this up over the G403 easily.
Though if I have to install any software to adjust things as simple as DPI, I'm out.

Software should be optional, not mandatory, especially when your software is garbage.
I keep my PC clean, I have 0 unnecessary things taking up resources or in task scheduler and startup.

If I can set it to around 400 or 800 DPI without installing anything, I'm good.
Other mice can do it, it is a negative point if your mouse cannot.

Is it at least lighter than the Chroma?

Deathadders were my go to for many years (especially before the rubber sides), but I really don't see anything here that would get me off the G403.

You could always install the software in a sandboxed environment so that it doesn't have any real access to your computer, configure the settings you want, uninstall the software and then delete the sandboxed environment. I guess.
