Razer Deathadder Elite (2016) - Page 31

DA was always a mouse I wanted to like but the shape/weight/grip...it just doesn't work for me.

I haven't been following this thread closely. But is the sensor better than the "most responsive sensor ever" 3988/9 iterations? lls

ALRIGHT so I have the got damn mouse and let's get pissed shall we?

QC is Great, no issues at all anywhere on the mouse, no button issues no scuffs(looking at you Finalmouse). No rattles of any kind(Hi logitech), i can shake this hoe and it makes less sound than an empty room, My mouse 1&2 are even, they do not sound different whatsoever. Great job on that.

The sensor is very responsive, I expect nothing less at all. Cpi values were on par with a 1-2 point difference(so 402 when set to 400 dpi)

Here is my issue. It does not save anything for me. Set my dpi to 400, close the software and unplug/replug the mouse just to see if it saves how my chroma and DA black did....NOPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE. Resets itself back to the original dpi presets. Retried 12 times with the same damn result. Why do these 'no software' companies get a great amount of business and hype? For one it is bs like this, 2 it is ease of use. Plug the mouse in and hit a button for dpi, hit a couple(in zowies case) to change polling rate, or just say HERE is the mouse with a set polling rate without being able to change it. Which is pretty much saying 'get used to it jacka$$'. Logitechs software I can launch, make my settings and be done forever. Here with the DA it's not like that, I even set the dpi and polling, reset the computer and the settings were all back to the original. It's dumb and a lot of people who already hate synapse will just pass because of something like this.

Side grips are good, all buttons are good, sensor is great.

But it has that major hang up. Why in THEE SAM HELL will they just not include on board memory?

If you are a DA fan and the having to input your settings each launch crap won't bother you. Then the Elite is A-ok. Very few things annoy me, this most certainly did the job.

Sad to see bad ideas justified by even worse ones.mad.gif

Synapse is like those unwanted toolbars that install when you download software and don't uncheck the checkbox.. it's basically bloatware at this point

So. Good news. Best Buy employees seriously think the Elite and the Chroma are the same mouse. Since I have $25 in reward certificates, I actually got one for a whopping $45. In fact, they stocked them on their shelves together as if they were the same mouse.

So the bad news. Other than the M1/M2 buttons having a louder clicking sound, compared to the same DA:Chroma I've been using for almost 3yrs, if I closed my eyes and gripped the Elite and the Chroma, they literally perform and feel the SAME. With an exception of the DPI buttons, it literally feels like the SAME DeathAdder Chroma. It's as if my mind is telling me: "Razer just suckered you again. You literally bought a DeathAdder Chroma with 2 extra buttons on top."

And lastly, how does it feel in-game vs. my Chroma? Well, if it's the "best sensor in the world" - it literally feels exactly the same as the Chroma's sensor. Don't believe the hype, everyone. I'm serious. If you have a DA:Chroma, don't get suckered into buying into the hype. To me, it's the same friggin' mouse with 2 extra buttons on top. And oh yeah! The scroll wheel is looser than the Chroma! It's actually worse! tongue.gif

Shape isn't for me either. I think it just assumes a certain type of palm compared to what I have. also the rubber grips oil up too much for me on the 2013.

Still a pretty good mouse otherwise.

You will buy next DA when they add 1 feature (like on-board settings) ^)

LMAO. It is what it is. I coulda used that $25 Best Buy certificate for another SSD. But using what is basically the same ol' DeathAdder made me go back to my G403. Seriously, if there are changes to the new DeathAdder Elite, they're minuscle and whatever hype marketing threw into this adds what I really think is a placebo effect.
