Razer Deathadder Elite (2016) - Page 36

Thanks for the pics! So Razer is indeed claiming that their iteration of the 3389 is the best sensor in the world opposed to the 336x and even 3310 sensors? So this is just a modified 3389? The same one used on the Chroma? *sigh*

Yep, no problem. I think this is Razer's variation on the 3360/3366. I believe the DA Chroma is using an Avago S3989. Now the naming/number schemes are just getting confusing. Only consistency I see is that Razer likes the number '89' in their own sensor models.

Is the scroll wheel click a full sized microswitch or is it a ****ty small square switch like those found on Logitech's new mice?

I noticed that. But definitely, thanks for sharing the internals of the Elite. I can subtly notice a difference when using a 3310 vs. 3366 sensor. But since I've used a Chroma for almost 3yrs, the difference between that sensor and this new Elite sensor is negligible. And whoopee, 5G? I don't know of anybody that swipes that fast to potentially spin out the sensor (let alone 3G) tongue.gif

I assume you are referring to the mouse wheel switch. If so, then yes. Dumb square switch. Warning: Mouse Wheel switch (Click to show)
Apologies for the dusty wheel

Sensor used in chroma was S3989

This one is a "fancy" 3360.

***...

How is pressing it compared to the trashy 403/Pro? Is it easier to press? Can you potentially accidentally scroll when pressing it?

Lol. I admit, I was thrown off with Razer's obsession with the numbers 88 and 89 (I think the Chroma uses a S3989). And 'fancy' 3360 would be about right (lmao). Umm, bottom line is if you really need to have a newer DA, go after it. But if you already own one (like 2013 3G or Chroma), no point in getting another one.
