A mamba TE with 3389 will be ideal for me thought, this mouse has one of the best shapes i've tried and i like this adjustable click force thing, shame it has a bad sensor.

Yes it is indeed different. They removed almost all onboard storage, which means no dpi steps or polling rate is saved to the mouse anymore. The only thing that is saved to the mouse are the light settings, which shows Razers priorities. So, no 400dpi setting without Synapse! This mouse is a big ESPORTS joke. Stick with the Chroma.

When I tried the Mamba TE in a store, I fell in love with it immediately. I was instantly ready to buy it right away at the full price. The shape and feel is soo good. But then it hit me, sensor lag, z-axis bug, no onboard memory, Synapse. As a former Razer fan, I walked away shaking my head about what has become of Razer. It's a shame.

LOL they actually made it worse?, maybe this can be solved with a firmware upgrade/synapse upgrade or something, remember that the mouse is brand new its not even released in EU yet so there is hope. No way this is intentional i refuse to believe it. mad.gifmad.gif I'm in the same boat, i tried mamba TE at a local store and it felt so good for my grip, i was ready to buy it but i knew i couldn't cope with the bad sensor plus it was so expensive to experiment with. tongue.gif

We are talking about the DA Elite, right? If so, you can't do that anymore. They removed almost all memory. For everything except RGB settings, you need Synapse running.

Why? This is Razers strategy since the dawn of Synapse 2. Forcing you to use Synapse is of course intentional. They just left the RGB settings on the mouse in order to make it look awesome during boot time.

Even if it would be possible technically (which I doubt, with no memory inside the mouse), you can bet your ass that they wont do that. You have to give it to them, they have a plan. A *****ty plan, but a plan.

i guess i was talking about the 2013 / chroma then biggrin.gif

well, i don't know. maybe we (on these forums) are part of only a minority that doesn't like synapse. maybe all the fans like and love it. pro players certainly don't mind it, i think.
me, i lost interest in the DA with the release of the 2013. the 3.5G was already a step down, even if just a small one.
tbh there's been nothing interesting from razer for like 8 or 9 years. they've just been going up in cpi and lower in quality. no innovation or significant design / quality improvements. meh.

An OCN member was generous enough to take his/her copy apart and unveil the sensor underneath the shell:
