Same.
I'd expect everyone's hate boners to motivate them to show the world how abysmal the DA Elite truly is, but so far it looks pretty good.

Sensor, feet, cable, build quality all seem pretty solid. Doesn't seem like you have to play a lottery or replace half the mouse like you would with a G403.

Because it's simply doing what Zowie does...

The G403 is a new design, it hasn't been around for 10 years. The scroll wheel looseness was a design flaw. The buttons being different in actuation force is down to the variance of the switch's manufacture, which is more noticeable when you don't have the shell masking it.

I just bought a G403. I will see how "bad" it is for myself. It has to be very bad for me to dislike it more than my old DeathAdder.

The cable and mousefeet on the G403 are unquestionably bad.
The majority of mice that exist have more flexible cables and better gliding mouse feet.
I'm not even certain they've solved the scroll wheel issue in new versions yet, it's still every other post in the G403 topic.

At least the G403 doesn't push your pinky and ring finger out. I couldn't stand that when I briefly owned a DA. Cables and mousefeet mean nothing if I can't claw grip the mouse properly. I tried to adapt with a palm-grip, but I think it's just an ill-conceived design overall since it reduces grip and is a reason most mice don't have that outward angle at the front-right. It's opposes grip rather than enhancing it; totally form over function.

qxscv said he was going to look in to it more this weekend, but it looks like its just a 3360 with even more smoothing added at higher dpi. Obviously if that is true its worse than or equal to the 3366 in every way. Its probably the same at low dpi though. Its kind of funny that they raise the max dpi and then make the mouse absolutely horrendous and worse than the 3360 at high dpi.

i suppose i don't have much more to say concerning the sensor unless someone builds me a machine

but i'll check click latency and stuff

Simplest way to verify is to crack open the case of the sensor to see the internals. I don't expect anyone to do that for this sensor.

i will after someone buys me one of those super-long mousepads (so i can test malfunction speed) biggrin.gif

jk i probably still wouldn't unless there's substantial evidence that it's different from 3366

Really sad that default hz is 500 and 1000hz wont be saved on onboard memory... Deal breaker for me, even tho I use 800dpi.
Neither G Pro or G403 did good for me, DA have always been decent tho
post #640 of 1544
what's the problem with default 500hz

the latency difference to 1000hz is nearly nothing and 1000hz causes application stability problems on a lot of PCs

i mean not saving polling rate would be a problem, but even the abyssus v2 stores polling rate
