Performance will be key to the DeathAdder Elite, starting with mouse clicks. This new model features Razer Gaming-optimized Mechanical Mouse Switches (coproduced with Omron), to provide the ultimate responsiveness in mouse clicks.

The Elite also features what Razer calls the world's most advanced optical sensor. This 16,000 DPI sensor boasts 99.4 percent resolution accuracy, a measurement of the correlation between mouse movement and arrow movement. Other gaming mice typically have about 95 percent accuracy, whereas non-gaming mice only are about 90 percent, according to Razer.

It sounds pretty fantastic and it's the perfect price.

Still that same shape tho frown.gif. Not a fan of the DA's rigid corners.

I just wish they made it slightly smaller. Otherwise, my 2013 has been great.

Sorry Razer, I used to love you in the DeathAdder variety..but I'm married to the Steelseries Rival now.

Razer often has QC problems with their mice. I'm not going to bother, even though I'm in the market for a new mouse. The feature of this product they are hyping up are switches? If that's the case, I can just buy similar switches from a third party and solder them onto a mouse I want to use instead.

EDIT: they mention ghost click elimination through software. Typical problem with Razer mice were the ghost clicks.

This, their mice have turned into pure garbage. My OG Deathadder only lasted like 2 years. The Diamondback I have that came out in like 2005 is still going strong. "Razer enginerred switches for gamers" is the same stupid chinese cost cutting crap that they did with their keyboard mechanical switches. "For gamers", ya right, they just didn't want to pay to use Cherry MX so they designed their own cheap-o so they could still mark it up like crazy while paying even less for some crap switches. Which didn't turn out good since they had a bad QC with them and had high return rates with their green switches they released.

Dunno why people keep buying their trash. They're the Apple of PC peripherals, minus anything being built well.

.....why wouldn't they fix that at a hardware level.....they still using their online driver software?

Also they don't mention what sensor it's using either. Would like to see it paired up against the Logitech Pro

Not to mention ridiculously high dpi/cpi is wildly inaccurate. I play most games at 400 to 1600.

The deathadder was the only razer product I actually liked. Every other mouse I tried from them had sensor issues.

Is that deathadder SUPPOSED to look like mine from late 2013? I mean it looks 100% exactly the same. Did they just upgrade internals?
