I'm definitely curious if there's some sort of onboard storage (for the DPI steps at least) as that would fix mostly my issues with it. I'm going to try to give it a chance just to confirm the side grips, but we will see.

It's pretty distressing to see the comment ""Razer enginerred switches for gamers" is the same stupid chinese cost cutting crap that they did with their keyboard mechanical switches." when we see they co-produced it with Omron. So are we just blindly throwing hatred at a product that hasn't released because of our own biased ignorance and lack of reading comprehension?

I've never had a bad Logitech mouse either, but I've seen the rocky start that the PGM and G403 have been having, along with complaints of small issues with the G502 and G900.
Just out of sheer curiosity. Why do you have 4-5 of them....or have had?

Just flipped over my DeathAdder to realise it's a 3500 dpi (3.5G) sensor. I think I have it set to 1200 as well...

That's just madness. Can you even set the sensitivity within Windows low enough at 16000 DPI to have the mouse usable? Or do people actually just move their mouse with micro twitches on a day to day basis?

I really like my ol DeathAdder. When it dies (going on for nearly 5 years now) i'll definitely get the latest Death Adder. The shape is very comfortable in my opinion.

My Razer deathadder (1800dpi only, only use 600dpi, easier to shoot in FPSs) from 2006 and its still in perfect shape. thumb.gif Amazing isn't it?

I owned the copperhead which I was a huge fan of because the design made sense, you use "if right handed" your left thumb and right pinky to guide the mouse, on the copperhead, the side buttons were so low it made sense.

See?

Any who, I owned the deathadder 2013, wheel broke, rma'd it, the brand new one the left button broke after major use of gaming, another rma, so I gave the third one to a nephew of mine and bought a Zowie ZA11. Knock on wood, no problems with the ZA11.

The left and right side buttons are obsolete to me on the ZA11 and deathadder 2013 because they're to damn high.

See?

Problem with the copperhead is that the butt end was to skinny.

I got a DA 3.5G for Christmas in 2011, used it until about September 2014 with zero issues whatsoever. Then I got a DeathAdder 2013, and the mouse 1 broke within 3-5 months of playing CS:GO daily. Hopefully they fixed these mouse 1 issues on the DeathAdder Elite, otherwise it's a quality control gamble.

I have a mouse that has incredible features. I have a primary button that sits under my index finger that allows me to click on things on my screen. And, I can see a white arrow around my screen that follows my hand movement.

Am I missing something?

Will never touch a Razer product, due to it's software data mining users. Razer gives themselves free use of any information it's software collects.

Lets not forget this http://www.overclock.net/t/1323093/razer-razer-synapse-2-0-used-for-always-on-data-mining

But even on my DA I never run above about 3k DPI so I don't get this stupid high resolution sensors biz.

You know what I miss? My MS sidewinder X5. Those are great mice.button placement and weighting was absolutely mint

Over about 8 years or so of time I've had them all.
-Had an MX518 that I loved dearly and bit the dust after a failed mouse1 (this was before I knew better to open it and clean the switch)
1. OG DA: was my first DeathAdder, loved the mouse with the exception of the glossy sides--they got gross way too quick, and my hands don't sweat crazily, but the shape was great
2. DA 3.5G OG DA was used so much and put through probably 1k hours of CS:S (surf DM biggrin.gif) and just overall was starting to get 'ugly' (I hate the look of scratched, black glossy plastic).
3. DA BE: was by far my favorite as they got rid of the glossy sides. Loved the finish and look of the thing, too. Got rid of the 3.5 and gave it to my best friend.
4. DA 2013: My brother needed a mouse and keyboard for a new PC so I used this as an excuse to 'upgrade' and gave away the BE.
5. DA Chroma: I actually have my DA 2013 still and it's still going with absolutely no issue. It saw the grunt of my use in CS:GO, but I had bought an RGB keyboard and wanted to match them up. I actually picked up a EC1-A, loved it so much, but had to RMA, but ended up giving this mouse away to my brother's GF to play games because I wasn't putting it to use and it was relatively new.

I ended up growing a dislike for the side grips over time as they seemed to get weirdly oily and would just slide out of my hand. I could dry them with a cloth, but they would return after a while and it was distracting. The EC1-A is my idea of a modern DA BE, though there are still some iffy spots for me on the mouse. At the moment, however, I'm currently using the G900 and loving it.

Every time I think I want to go back to the DeathAdder to try, I pull out my DA 2013 and then install Synapse (cringe) and use it and then am usually reminded why I gave away the DA Chroma and don't use the DA 2013. Since then, I've become obsessed with trying a lot of mice out. As it stands, I'm more interested in the G403 as it looks like the ultimate solution to the EC1-A and DA BE of years past.

Having said all that, not one QC issue on my side. The one I gave to my friend, he used through my DA BE, DA 2013 and DA Chroma and it eventually developed a double-click issue. He cleaned it several times and this usually cured it, but he eventually got frustrated and I bought him a 2013 for his b-day. He's since had the same issue again. The only constant here is him tongue.gif. I believe i'm going to give him the EC1-A as I think he'll enjoy it for the shape and improved weight.
