As long as you pick RAM that doesn't have obnoxiously and needlessly tall heat spreaders, you shouldn't have to worry about it.

My point about DX12 is multiple GPUs might make more sense down the road and scaling will be better than before.

Yea I was just joking about the DX12 stuff. Like what I said earlier about why should things make sense and you were saying about how at this point in time when you SLI the cards they don't work out just right or as good as you would think they should. "The best-laid plans of mice and men often go awry."

Yea the memory i selected is the same profile as the one I have on that list but just upgraded to 3000 per your suggestion.

As for an alternate 1080 I was thinking maybe the EVGA FTW ACX 3.0 as it has some of the better ratings.
