Nvidia can get bent playing their little wallet game with consumers. This is just nuts the way its going. If they do release it. Which is highly likely. Then what? Just a few months later Volta comes out and then destroys it in every way? Its just a cash grab and wallet game at this point. Just to see how far they can go. I could easily see this card going for $799 and $899 founders edition. Or $899-$999

My 1080 will be the last for a while. I am about to just say F pc gaming at this point. Hell the way its going. Just release new cards every 6 months. For get the yearly or 2 year release windows. Pretty sure Nvidia is heading this route now and testing the waters.

Yes they are releasing s*it quite frequently and prices are going so ridiculously higher, with the value of older GPUs evaporating in a matter of months, but why do you feel the need of having to constantly keep up with new releases? if you have a GPU that is giving you adequate performance why not keep it for two or three years before upgrading?

Nvidia is pushing it way too far with its pricing but it is not their fault, AMD is not giving them a good competition so they can practically do whatever they want, i always keep thinking why is it only Nvidia and AMD in the desktop GPU market, why isn't their a 3rd and a 4th manufacturer to keep the market competitive? is it impossible to even consider entering the GPU market at this point even for huge organizations like Intel for example?

They already did release it. They just renamed it to Titan X. For all those that scorn AMD remember this is the price we pay when competition no longer exists.

The 1080 Ti was always gonna come sooner or later; based on GP102 with a few less SMs than the Titan XP. Nvidia have a fairly well established M.O. and their pattern of product releases should come as no surprise to anyone.

Right from the get go back in May after they released the 1080, we knew to expect a Titan and a Ti some months later.. We could even predict pricing to a certain degree. The only thing we couldn't be sure of was the exact timing.

There really is no reason to feel ripped off or double dipped or whatever. All you can do is choose when to jump on the Pascal 10xx series ladder.
