Ordered a BenQ EW2750ZL, would appriciate any feedback.

So I was in the market for a new monitor, I'm tired of the TN's washed out color and poor contrast.

I have a budget of $200, that's my absolute max.

I really want to give a VA panel a try as I have heard great things about the color representation, and amazing things about the contrast, but finding a good one in the $200 range is a bit difficult.

I went ahead and ordered a BenQ EW2750ZL which is a 27" 1080p monitor, I prefer the size and the resolution doesn't both me one bit. I'm really hoping I don't have ghosting issues, I have found reviews that go both ways.

I will post my experience here when I get it but while its in transit I would love to hear if anyone has this monitor and what has their experience been?

I have a s27c750p. It's an older 27'' AMVA, also 1080p. I'm in love with the thing, really. Very good color reproduction and the blacks are as black as you can hope for from a LCD. Don't expect CRT quality in this regard, but other LCDs do look lethargic in comparison. It's especially good at night if you're in a darker room. In this kind of scenario, if you've got an IPS or TN, blacks don't really look black at all. This one pulls through though. Better contrast ratio lends a certain depth to things that I find other LCD types lack.

Yes, there's ghosting with VAs and it's a poor choice if you want to play fast multiplayer games, but I never found it an issue for single player gaming. And as for desktop, well, there's a bit more ghosting than an IPS, yes. Not really a night and day difference and nothing that gets in the way of actual use. You won't see any ghosting on a 24 FPS video.

I understand the EW2750L is a refined version of what I got here, with slightly better color reproduction. You'll have to deal with BenQ's overdrive though and boy, you don't want to deal with BenQ's overdrive. You won't have problems with ghosting, no man, you'll have problems with some pretty severe inverse ghosting. BenQ seem to always screw up in this regard.

Ya, I have heard about the inverse ghosting, I will have to play with some of the overdrive settings and see what I can tolerate.

This is going to be primarily for gaming, Elite Dangerous, Planetside 2, Battlefield 1, and some slow paced strategy games. I really want it to perform because every time I read about a VA monitor I hear about how great they look, even compared to ISP which I have seen look great!

If it doesn't work out I guess I will have to return it and get a something else.
