[techtimes] LOOK: Did This iPhone 7 Explode Too? - Page 2

What are the odds that they sourced the battery from the same factory? Disgruntled employees? It can happen, like how the PS4 had bad HDMI connectors.

Batteries explode, especially lithium ones, nothing new under the sun.

If someone falls from a bike on his ass and bends, punches, pressurizes or even punctures the battery in the process, well of course the battery will ignite.

Lolol that blast comment was good, I just had people state at me at Starbucks because I almost choked on my overpriced coffee.

I'm going for the LG v20, I think it comes out next month.

Oh, it's an iPhone alright and the lack of antenna bands confirms it's a 7.

Looks like the box was damaged/punctured by something that dented the phone body enough to rupture the battery.

This is not news. It's barely an article.

I blame the ever so stupid strife for thinner phones. They're trying to pack as much battery as possible in an enclosure that doesn't have enough space, so compromises are made, either to the battery or the structure.

A couple months ago, I got thrown over the handlebars of my bike when my front tire tracked into a narrow deep ditch at over 30kph, slammed down on my right side and my OnePlus One took a pretty serious impact. And guess what happened, nothing, nothing what so ever. Because its a somewhat chubbier, curvy phone that's still working perfectly to this day with nothing but a few roadburn marks that mostly rubbed out. thumb.gif
