Yeah me too. I was kinda considering the Stargazer and was even thinking of buying it yesterday and luckily the C922 review popped up in my recommended youtube feed via LinusTechTips channel; and i realized it was quite similar for a lower price. ($99 MSRP apparently, so $50 less than the Stargazer)
I've been doing my recordings and streams without a camera this whole time (just using shadowplay for game recording and a Shure PG42 XLR Analog Condenser mic + budget M-audio usb interface to record voice) and have been thinking of adding a facecam type option to them for some time; but i didn't want to spend a fortune on it as i was upgrading my PC as well as possibly upgrading to a better mixer/interface as well.
The major thing that makes me interested in the Stargazer and C922 is the 60fps and 1080p functionality (sucks that it can't do 1080p 60fps though, only 720p-60fps
) the thing is, i'm not so sure how crucial having 60fps facecam footage is. Like, is it hard to encode everything together with the framerate being different or something? (i.e. your cam is 30fps 1080p but the gameplay is 60fps 1080p, does that cause a problem where it looks out of sync or doesn't encode right or something?)
This is a category i have next to no knowledge of really; overall i'm just wanting a decent camera to take still pics + record game streams etc..
