Yes, so for a 980TI this is a normal temperatures on that frequency?

Yes. a 980 Ti makes quite a bit more heat than a 980.. Two Kepler Titans and a couple of 980 Ti's turned @Ithanul into a fire breathing dragon. Lanofsong can't breathe fire.

Just just received the PCIE cable to power up the gtx 970 together with the 980ti. Buy when I press the start button I only hear a soft click from the PSU.
And nothing else happens.

Any suggestions on what the problem might be?

Pull the 970 and try a restart.

Yes it starts without any issue.
i think the problem is the PSU.
It is a XFX 850 PRO
