Hey guys,

Ok so ive decided i want to go ultrawide.
Main purpose is ive always had a 2 or 3 monitor setup and the bezzels are painful.

My most recent and best setup was 2x Acer 24" 1920x1200 mounted on a custom stand side by side and although i loved them, after playing with a Ultawide at my local Canada Computers i can confirm that thats what i want to go for.
Pixel density must be good at > 100 PPI but not more than 140 PPI and the 3440x1440 34" fits in there perfectly.

Now this is where my debate starts. I currently have a Alienware with a 765M (which obviously cannot drive games at great setting but i dont mind turning down the setting for a few months) but running my own company, ill have some $$$ to spare, so the company is buying the monitor and my new laptop.

Monitor is needed soon for productivity at home as my 14" is just too small to be productive on. Its fine for browsing and gaming but coding..is a pain.
So therefore the first upgrade is a monitor and given the specs above, that are a few to choose from. After having messed around on one, which was flat, i feel the slight curve of the 2 mentioned will be alot more comfortable to work from as the sides on the one i saw (LG i believe) were very far away.
So i believe i want curved (please let me know if its not worth it)
Also ive never played at > 60hz before so really want something a bit faster so 75hz + is a must.

My new laptop will come before the end of the year, or very early next year depending on how things pan out and will be an Alienware 15" with a 1070.
Looking at some benchmarks, the 1070 will do very well on this resolution and be very playable on med-high settings (PS i never use AA). The reason for going Alienware is the plan down the line is to get the Graphics Amp and stick in a high end card and this is where i start having my debate.

So the one is FreeSync 75hz and can be overclocked a bit more
The other is Gsync and max is 100hz

Now rumor has it that Vega is going to launch a Dual chip Card, and given the Graphics Amp, you only have 1 PCI-Slot, means i can put in a dual chip card.
But will the 1080Ti not be more than sufficient? Will a range topping Vega card not be sufficient....

G-Sync or Freesync (and save $300)....

Im going mad. Looking at ordering next week.
I tihnk if they were priced the same or closer i would be going with the X34
but given the $300 gap, basically im wondering if it is worth it or not?

What do you guys think, Save the $300 and go Freesycn and hope VEGA is a hit or bite the bullet knowing a 1080Ti will be awesome.
