DPI of my mice changed slightly after modding, is that normal?

Thread Starter
I recently did some minor modding to my two KPM mice. Both got a new cable from ceesa and one also received corepad mouse feet. What I noticed is that the DPI of both mouse changed slightly. I measure it in game doing 360 turns and in overwatch I had to go from 5.11 to 5.05 for mouse number 1 and from 5.18 to 5.0 on mouse number 2. Should I be worried about those changes? Or is it normal because of different or slightly damaged mouse feet?

Thanks

The distance between the sensor and the tracked surface has an effect on the CPI. So changing to skates that are not exactly the same thickness as the old ones can indeed alter the CPI.

Changing sensor feet will definitely make this sort of thing happen. Even sensor feet degrading can cause it
