Can't remember, does Leiden Classic require VBox?

I was only able to grab 4 tasks at a time most of the day, but now everything seems to be good. I was able to get 150 tasks a little while ago, and now the cache is staying full.

So recently I got a Xeon Phi Knights Landing workstation for my work. I'm in the process of setting it up for benchmarking bioinformatics tools but most of the time it will be idle.

Do you guys know of projects that could be set up on it? This is running as a host processor so unlike the Knights Corner PCIe cards this can run native x86 binaries.

Here's an album of the system:

It came configured with a Xeon Phi 7210 1.3GHz 64 core 256 thread host CPU, 96GB of DDR4 and an Intel 750 series 960GB SSD

I am not aware of any, but if BOINC can see the extra x86 processors, should work.

However, never have I seen a single instance of XEON Phi support anywhere for BOINC or F@H....

I have my RX-470 set to run two tasks at a time, and it is completing them in about 37s each, for about 125k PPD.

(my 7850 does about 50k PPD, and my 950 only 25k PPD)

What does something like a 7970 or a Kepler Titan do?

Since MilkyWay runs double precision tasks, Maxwell and Pascal really aren't suited for running it.

If BIONC has a git branch for Xeon Phi I could get onto that. The advanced vectorization, many cores, and 16GB of MCDRAM can make it a very powerful system.

I ran into this....

9786 Leiden Classical 10/1/2016 4:52:49 PM Requesting new tasks for CPU and NVIDIA
9787 Leiden Classical 10/1/2016 4:52:51 PM Scheduler request completed: got 0 new tasks
9788 Leiden Classical 10/1/2016 4:52:51 PM No work sent
9789 Leiden Classical 10/1/2016 4:52:51 PM (reached daily quota of 1024 results)

And MW still runs out then gives me 0 to 15 WU's... sometimes it will max me out, but mostly doesn't.

PS: Seems they fixed it after I posted about it in the message board... WOOHOO!

BUT, seems server is lagging... or running out of work now...

Sigh....

I guess I've been lucky, I've gotten just enough tasks to keep my GPU busy.......Many of the Milky Way tasks I've been getting are CPU tasks that use all 12 threads, with estimated time to completion of 8 seconds to 42 seconds.

It can be a little sporadic. Often times it will only grab a handful of tasks, and then run through 3 or four update cycles before it gives out more tasks. Full updates of over 100 tasks have been pretty rare on my cruncher with three 7970s. I changed my app_config to only run one task at a time to see if that helps out.

An update script doesn't really work, because the server will kick out the request if the previous request was too recent. This can lead to an ever increasing time between requests for new work.

The project admin did say that he was working on the WU generator, so hopefully there is some improvement as the month goes forward.

Here's hoping that's the signal for the new Gravitational Waves GPU work units they said are coming really really soon!

EDIT: Also getting No tasks available errors for UGM.... Ruh roh, I might not be able to get the 45 day badge (and 1,000 hours via WUProp)... Might have to settle for bronze (14 days) forever alongside only gold (500 hours) via WUProp. Here's hoping I can snag several more work units tomorrow!
