Finally got to this after fiddling with it for a bit.

Both are set to 10, what would I want to change them to to reduce crosstalk.

Check on this page. You cannot reduce crosstalk; it involves strobe instance, not persistence. You have strobe "area" which is where it should be updated first when it strobes. I suggest it should be the bottom edge. Then, you have "intensity" which is the lit duration.

You need to keep testUFO open in full screen (select full screen on it then press F11) on chrome, so you see the UFO's at the top and bottom, then change the Area to your liking.

What is more important is if this monitor responds to an increase in "Vertical Total".
The factory menu (if DEBUGMEG is on) will show the current VT. On the Benq XL2720Z, XL2420Z, XL2411Z and the crappy XL2430T (broken gamer 1/2/3 presets), the strobe timing length is based on the vertical total value. This is a "bug" so to speak, with how 3d vision 2's strobe mode handles accelerated scanout to the monitor scaler; Lightboost (the strobe mode of 3d vision 2) used a larger vertical blanking interval via a timing change to the scaler, which gives the monitor more time to complete a pixel transition, which reduced the amount of crosstalk in 3d mode, which was required, otherwise 3d vision would be unusable strobed. This timing change was identical to increasing the vertical total value to "1500", but lightboost did this internally. By changing the vertical total manually to VT 1500, you would reduce the strobe crosstalk to the same level that Lightboost mode used, which was great for us, even though this was an unintended firmware bug.

With 3d vision 2 being removed from the XL2730Z, and the scaler being changed from Mstar (which dealt with resolutions and strobing based on known vertical totals) to Realtek, VT changes no longer affected strobe crosstalk, and Benq broke 100hz strobing and removed the single strobe setting, as I guess they "forgot" what they did with the Mstar scaler.

I have no idea if changing the VT works again with the XL2735--someone needs to try it.

create a 120hz custom resolution, 2560x1440.
use toastyX custom resolution utility.
Change the timing from automatic (create it with automatic first) to manual, then increase the Vertical Total to 1849.
Restart the driver with restart64.exe and see if Crosstalk is reduced. The "Area" value should be at "0" before doing this.

Any updates? Been a few days...

Any luck with Vertical Total tweaks?

Wouldn't work, when i went to display it, wouldn't initialize.

Sorry, VT 1849 is too high.
The max VT is 1825.

use these timings.

Also what were you using ? the Nvidia Control panel or ToastyX custom resolution utility?

Try a lower vertical total. You should start by going +50 higher and testing them until you reach the end.
I already know that Vertical Total (VT) 1825 should technically work as it has been tested on this scaler before.

But start at the default (VT 1525) then go +50 higher and keep going up.

Oddly enough, Bishi's other screenshot shows a VT of 1849.

Let me try this a little bit later Falkentyne. Would there be a possibility of doing like a gotomeeting if I'm having issues while testing? We can always move to a PM for details later.

Edit: I was looking for that same add custom resolution screen in CRU 1.2.6 and can't seem to find it. the Test function especially seems key here.

I can confirm that the hack works again on this Monitor. The Crosstalk is nearly gone, only a little bit left at the bottom.

I just used the Nvidia control panel to do this, works way better than the ToastyX tool, Working great, still testing visual impact but I can already tell there is a pretty good difference.
