I really, really wish they made a larger version of the Manticor, it's just not large enough for me to whip my arm around with low sensitivity anymore, I'm thinking of just throwing it in my closet again and just going back to my Razer Goliathus Control.

Anyone know of any hardpads around the size of my Razer Goliathus Control, which is around 44x35cm?

you could try DIY with HDPE (sunboard) or something but i bet the glide will differ a lot from the manticor's.

the alugraphics gamerpro xxl is 420 x 315, i've never seen a bigger aluminium pad. great pad though. (but not cheap, and afaik only ships from germany.)

the heaton xtrfy gp3 is 420 x 350. imo it's quite nice, but you will want chamfered feet for a good glide. (my non-chamfered DIY teflon feet give me a rough glide on it.)

there are still some func pads to be found, but it's 430 x 270. the rough(30) surface has a nice glide though, imo.

other than those, i'm not aware of any big hard pads. well, the discontinued heaton qpad, but i doubt you'd find one. sadface.

Has anyone ever made pad surface out of PTFE?

Upd.: or UHMWPE.

good mousepad is worth it, but expensive doesn't always mean good.

I don't think the Zowie pads are $40 good (the larger ones).
Glorious PC ones are quite good, also if you like "rough" pads, the Dechanic Control has surprised me a lot.
then there's one called Reflex Labs or something which seems to be enjoyed by many.

it just depends on your preferences. I'm happier with the cheaper ones that I've tried so far, like the Dechanic Control. it's like a little more textured Goliathus Control but costs about half of it. tongue.gif

edit: should be worth to mention that I've tried every single Artisan pad out there now too... and I still prefer this one. the base of the Artisan may be amazing, but they're rough-edged and too small. frown.gif

and all the Steelseries and Qpads and Razer and whatnot. I have a bit of a mousepad obsession.

Hm, the dechanic looks extremely similar to the roccat taito control. I picked the roccat up at best buy for 15$ because I needed a pad and didn't want to wait for shipping and like it a lot. I would bet its the same oem and same pad just with a different label.

You don't need to spend a fortune. If you feel your current generic pad is too 'sticky' (high static friction), dirty, needs replacing... Get a decent one, like QCK, Goliathus, or whatever. Spend a little more and get something that is similar to what you liked (soft pad, hard pad, thick, slim, size...).
