4690K adaptive voltage

Thread Starter
I have set my overclock at 4.5ghz, 1.22v, but I want the voltage to ramp down when idle. The clock speed already does this but if the voltage doesnt do it too its pointless..

The settings for this in my bios are a little confusing, I have an ASUS Z97-A. If I set CPU voltage to adaptive I can set an offset and a turbo offset, and they seem to combine together to make a total v-core value.

Can anyone help me set this up correctly?

Hello,
i had the same "problem" with my 5820k, it turned out to be the c states of my cpu. for some odd reason my motherboard disables all of the c states if i touch any of the core multipliers. look for c states in the cpu section of your bios and check if they are disabled.
in my opinion offset doesnt make sens for this situation...

Hi, make sure your C1E state and EIST are both on.
