They all got about 3-4c better temp but the consistency or texture of the paste seeem the same so it seem to go on and remove as easily as the gelid. I use the same dot method on all my PC though and not spread it so maybe that why I think it's the same application difficulty
Maybe you got 3-4c, but that's not typical. Reviews show Grizzly TIMs to be 0-1c better than GC-Extreme and about 2c better than MX-4.
Maybe someone slipped something special into your Grizzly tube. tongue.gif

Grizzly has 4x different TIMs
Grizzly Conductonaut
Grizzly Kryonaut
Grizzly Hydronaut
Grzzly Aeronaut

Ah yeah, honestly I wouldn't get it again since it's harder to get and I can get gelid on Amazon. I was just commenting about the application difficulty. It seem the same to me. Yeah I was surprise I got that much temp. I wasn't really expecting at all and just wanted to use some up. Could just be I'm applying less paste giving better contact. Grizzly seems to continue coming out after application so now I put a tiny tiny dot then let the air push out the excess paste for application. I got the biggest tube for like $50 so only reason I changed the paste on all my builds

For what it's worth I've never had good experiences with gelid paste. I've ordered it twice due to rave reviews and both tones the paste was really super thick and wouldn't spread. The first time I thought I just got a messed up tube but after the second time I now avoid it. Could just be terrible luck, or a case of bad local distributors here, but at least in my experience there are cheaper pastes that work better.

Yeah, it's a thicker consistency, but like water next to the Thermal Grizzly. Pop the tube in a zip lock and drop it in hot water for a minute and it loosens up. I usually simply grab the NT-H1 rather than go through the hassle.

Thanks for all the inputs so far guys. Down to 3 choices based on comments: Grizzly, Gelid or NT-H1.

Another vote for GC-Extreme. Been using it on my CPUs and GPUs for a couple years now. Always spreads easily and cleans up super fast with some rubbing alcohol. thumb.gif

Hi there

Personally I use Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut on my i7-5820k and have used too ShinEtsu which is not bad paste, but still is OK and then I've used PK-3 which I don't like at all,my temps has been poor with that paste and agree with Noctua NH-H1 which is very good paste, this I've used this paste on i7-6700k with Noctua NH-D15 and 4.7GHz OC

Hope this helps

Thanks,Jura

I've been using NT-H1 since 3-4 years ago and i can still recommend it! biggrin.gif
Also, no love for CM mastergel maker nano? tongue.gif Is it because not enough people have used it yet or because it's just bad?
I like kryonaut, gelid, and sometimes use mx-4

I find all easy to apply, spread and remove, no cure time, perform great, had no "drying" issues aside from a couple mx-4 cases
post #40 of 71
Been using prolimatech pk-1 for 5 years. Tube just ran out so i got a order of thermal grizzly kryonaut on the way. Use to use gelid gc xtreme before the pk-1 and as5 before that.
