Fps drops with core clock drops on Gtx 1080

Thread Starter
So in few words. When playing GTA V or Rise of Tomb Raider, gpu clock, gpu voltages , gpu memory controller and fps drops for a second and then turns back. It drops once every maybe 2 hours. It is related to my hardware or software issue?
Here is screen from GPUZ during that spike:( i added black arrows and you can clearly see UTIL reason )

I checked event and this was not driver crash. 0 logs.

My pc:
Gigabyte Gtx 1080 Xtreme( No OC ) ( good temps 60 C )
6700K No Oc ( good temps 55-60C )
16gb DDR4
Corsair 750 RM
SSD Bx 100 Crucial 256GB

I am on Windows 10 Anniversary Edition. Drivers 368.69.
PSU i think is fine, because i dont have random shutdowns and memtest86 passes fine.

It is NOT a issue with your system, it is actually a issue with the 1080 cards themselves. Gamers Nexus has shown in every gtx 1080 video they have done that the cards all have a random drop every hour or so and then immediately return to the speed it was at. they have been in talks with nvidia and other card companies but the reason and a solution has not been found yet. it is rather annoying but it seems even nvidia is lost to why for the time being. hope this helps.
