Kaby Lake, 40% more than Skylake, is this true?

As title.
Many rumors appeared on the net saying that KabyLake will be 40% faster in single threaded app than SkyLake.

This is an incredible increase, do you trust those rumors?
If this is true, I don't want Skylake-E and I want to wait KabyLake-E but how long should I wait with my Haswell-E?

Rumours friend just like you said. Wait for actual benchmarks from reputable reviewers and then make a decision.

No... Kaby lake has already released in it's mobile form, and the 7500u/7200u have the same IPC as Skylake before it. Kaby lake has about 7-10% higher clockspeeds than previous generation Skylake, which is where all the gains are from.

I wouldnt jump to conclusions based off one leaked benchmark.

It's also important to note that i7-6700k and i7-7700k don't run at the same clockspeeds so the +40% is not all simply due to newer design some of that gain is simply due to faster clockspeeds.

Having said all that... it does look like an exciting jump up. smile.gif

when will we seek KabyLake-E?
Will we see it on 2017?
