What PSU for older ci7 3770k system?

Thread Starter
I am building a new pc consisting of new and old parts, but I need a power supply to power it all, but I don't know how much wattage to use for it. The pc specs are:
Asrock-h61m-vg4, 2x4gb DDR3 1600mhz, Intel Core i7 3770k, Asus gtx 770 directcu ii oc 2gb, 1x SSD 2x SATA HDD, 5x 120mm fans, zalman z9 neo case. I intend to overclock the gtx 770 and if possible tweak the cpu to 4ghz on the motherboard.
Will 550W be enough or should it be more? And what unit to choose for a fair price?
I have been looking at the XFX TS 550W Bronze psu.

I have been looking at the XFX TS 550W Bronze psu.

I have the previous XFX 550W Core Edition, and its plenty for 3770k + GTX 780 both overclocked.

So yes, the XFX is a good cheap choice.

Edit: I have mine for 3 and a half years now, zero problems.

Solid PSU for it's price range due to sea sonic internals, would defiantly handle your demands without problems. Picked one up for my brother for his GTX 680 and i5 750 machine last Dec., haven't heard of any problems with it yet. Here's a reliable review on it http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&op=Story3&reid=225

XFX TS 550W is fine. As you will not be OC CPU, this is due to the mobo, you need a Z77 to OC with. H61 is not a OC board.

I have managed to OC a ci5 2500 on the board via small blck adjustments smile.gif

I also just saw this new PSU the Corsair Vengeance 650M it's about £10 more than the XFX unit

Seems like the Corsair is the better unit from the reviews I've read. It has ocp and otp protection also.
