Traffic Shaping vs. Streaming web sites

So I've got two computers -- mine and my sister's -- connected via this router: CD-R King WR-NET-018-CC

It's a cheap router based on a Realtek chipset. What's shocking though is for something so cheap it has QOS and traffic shaping. ph34r-smiley.gif

So my main problem is how do I assign a specific speed for youtube so other stuff get higher priority. So basically my sister watches a lot of YT and hogs the connection and I get nothing when browsing.

So I've read some stuff in the Internet and from my research traffic shaping is the way to go. Although some folks argue QOS is a better option.

Anyway, I got to my router's Traffic Shaping Dashboard and I find this:

Now I'm at a loss how to go about this. I thought it was a straight up type in the address and then set the upload and download speeds plus specify what IP.

Any help would be appreciated on how to go about this. smile.gif

Thanks in advance.

Most QoS and traffic shaping on cheaper routers is pretty sketchy at best. Should be interesting to see how it goes.
I can't view that image at work so can't comment much, but it might be worth looking to see if you can flash gargoyle or open-wrt or dd-wrt to that router.

That's a negative on open-wrt or dd-wrt.

I'll look into gargoyle as well.
