It's ok, becasue finally it will all be disclosured. But ,right at this monent, I 'm dreaming about making a mouse that's really name "PRO", so let my little secret keep a few months, after all there should be the little prize for the day and night I spent in a little dark room writing the stupid USB stack in past 6 months, rather than the fury at copycat.

why did you write your own usb stack

Gotta team up with CeeSA if you're going commercial, make the official mouse of OCN tongue.gif

Pretty sure those cables would never be allowed on a commercial product. They don't have shielding and I'm pretty sure there are a bunch of rules about that.

0. as you recognize yourself, this endeavour will not be that profitable. and since you say your not familiar with the other relevant engineering/design aspects, you're going to be looking at investing much more time and effort into this before having a product.
1. i doubt whatever secret you have is so amazing that posting all the details here would hinder whatever little commercial success you were envisioning. i have no doubt that people at e.g. logitech would be able to easily replicate what you did if they so desired (which they don't). nor do i doubt that the community here including myself would be able to do so in our spare time.
2. so i'm not sure why you're thinking of hiding your knowledge from the rest of us. it's kind of weird and counterproductive to yourself if we share our experience with you freely while you do not reciprocate.

that's not how i meant it, i'm fine with you wanting to make money.
but the skill to write firmware isn't exactly the only thing that makes a mouse.
besides, what would its selling point be, 8khz report rate? i consider 1khz to be great already, and that's probably what most others do too.
the am010 or 3090 wouldn't exactly pull customers, anyway..

i just think you'd find that you're very limited in your choices and would likely end up with a low quality mouse because of a lack of resources

I have a G300S and i'd love to at least double the polling rate. 2000hz would be so nice
