Definitely not the best lol, too much "eSports" going on with this keyboard. The case (especially for the 860) looks horrendous, all those cutouts and weird corners, horrible type-font on the keycaps, and logos with other weird graphics, and a phone storage rack (?Lol) over-all just scream "for gamers by gamers" attitude and are clearly just trying to stand out as much as they can.

Know nothing about the switches though, shorter travel distance doesn't neccesarily mean "better" but might mean you bottom out much more so that could cause a lot of discomfort in the long run.

Seems like a strange choice. Considering it's a "gaming" oriented keyboard I can't help but question their choice to use loud clicky switches. When I game the last thing I want to hear is my keyboard clicking away while I'm trying to listen for footsteps or other sounds made by enemies. And the font is atrocious on that board, as is the case.

Sorry, but this way it is not helping.

Did who say the switches are loud or even they have click sound?
___

This thread may be useful for who knows nothing about optical switches as these used by A4Tech: http://www.overclock.net/t/1571279/a4techs-700-keyboard-series-expanded

Bloody's LK (Light Strike), Cherry's RK (RealKey), Logitech's Romer-G and Cherry's MX Speed are supposed to be among the best and fastest switch technologies for gaming.

What I'd like to know is which is the best on the market and what model.

That is allllll subjective information. There is no "best", so good like ever finding it. It depends on what you need from a keyboard. A lot more than just speed needs to be involved. Switch rattle is very important, also just the plain feel of the switch is more important than how fast it is. I gamed on blue switches for 4 years and noticed a huge increase when I made the switch to Reds. I personally would not buy this keyboard, it looks absolutely horrendous, and that alone is why I wouldnt get it. Cherry switches will always be the tried and true mechanical switch. Romer-G uses custom stems so you have limited to no options for keycaps which heavily affects a keyboard also. Honestly just need to try what you think youll like and make a decision of what feels best.

Their website says so. Very clearly if you read it.

When "TYPING SOUND" is the first and foremost thing they say about their new keyboards that pretty clearly explains what the keys sound like. They are very clicky keys designed to sound like a typewriter. Sorry, but that's just not what I want to listen to while I'm gaming.

As for "what is best on the market" that's very subjective. It also greatly depends on your budget. If you're really wanting "the best" you're probably looking at a $300+ keyboard. If you're more budget limited than that you'll need to explain precisely what type of keyboard you want (full size, tenkeyless, 60%, etc...) what you want from the switches (fast response, tactile, clicky, short travel, etc.. ) do you want RGB lighting, backlighting, none, or does that even matter to you, USB ports, macro keys, programmable keys, etc...

There is no "best" there is only the keyboard you prefer the most that fits in your budget. If there was a single best then everyone here would have the same thing.

According to whom....?

They have taken on the Razer perversion of making non-proven facts about their awful range of garbage to those that believe what ever a company tells them.

Let the noobs pile on in and throw away their money, after all we need these people to perpetuate the current capitalist system, which is on the brink of failure.

Does that help?

Again my post was about NEVER trusting what Companies release BECAUSE they are selling their Garbage and they desperately need fake results to promote their wares.

Exactly like moronic companies providing their own fake results for dubious face creams that will make you look younger (still exists). Time for naivety to be left at the front door unless you are that so gullible in believing everything a company posts on the net?

I knew that youngsters were becoming brainless over time but this is getting ridiculous
