Hi Guys,

So now that I'm a dad I'm finding myself using my camera a lot more again. I just loaded the first 1k pictures since he was born in June and realized my photo collection is a freaking mess. What software do you guys use to organize photos, I'm hoping I can find Something that will just organize by shooting date and then I can further make albums from there. Ideally Id like it to actually update how they are stored on my storage drive so I can then uplaod them to the cloud as backup.

Adobe Lightroom is an all-in-one solution for organizing, editing, and publishing photos. It runs on both Windows and Mac. You can buy the one-time "perpetual license" or pay monthly. Highly recommended,. You may not use all of it at first but you will never outgrow it. Also very well supported with third-party plug-ins.

I got the trial and so far awesome. Not sure i'm going to purchase as 150 is steep but i'll run out this trial then decide. I'll probably end up getting it though lol

I don't need any of that other stuff, I barely edit my photos as is so I odn't think CC is for me. Thanks for the thought though.

Hmmm so only organising? Lr is probably not the program you're looking for, given that its main attractive alongside the gallery management is that it includes Adobe Camera RAW, which is one of the leading RAW image processors.

Give Darktable a go, it's free.
