Nintendo has announced that it will reveal the "first glimpse" of its new system, codenamed NX, on October 20 at 7:00am Pacific Time. That's 10am on the East Coast (EDT), 3pm in London (BST) and 1am on Friday on Australia's East Coast (AEDT).
According to a press release, the company will release a "preview trailer" that "will serve as Nintendo's preliminary announcement of information regarding the platform."
It's finally time to see what the hell this thing is. I'm beyond excited!!!
The Switch is powered by Tegra

Nintendo Switch is powered by the performance of the custom Tegra processor. The high-efficiency scalable processor includes an NVIDIA GPU based on the same architecture as the world's top-performing GeForce gaming graphics cards.
I'm hoping for a retro look. The Wii and WiiU looked god awful. Bring back the SNES/Gamecube designs please Nintendo. Even the 'claw' was a cool controller concept imo.
Im already seeing a bunch of problems with it. First, is battery life. Im guessing this will have a tegra type gpu and cpu combo or something like that. And i get pretty low battery life with my nvidia tablet. Idk, nintendo always impresses me so ill see. Next, power, i dont see this playing an fps at 60 fps no way no how unless they severely start toning down settings.
This is exactly what a lot of us were expecting, and I am okay with it. The only thing that matters to me is how good the hardware is on the to-go screen/tablet as thats how I would be using it most of the time. If specs are good, I will most likely be getting one of these. I hope they do it right.
The portable controls that slip off the edges do look a little fiddly for the larger handed among you.
Hopefully build quality is pretty decent and they're built nice and strong.

You do realise this is not for Gamers as such, this is for casual gaming only and for family's to gather round and play etc. Not for serious graphical gaming at 60fps etc.
Nintendo cant compete on that front, they like to stick with fun family orientated gaming.
Hopefully they'll release a cheaper stationary/console version of this.
Will probably buy one eventually, though I'll most likely never use it as a handheld.
