Hello Everyone,
Our expansion plans are now well underway and we expect them to be completed by late November (exclusive of the ERP system which will take more time). We have been hammered with email since we closed the web-store about when custom orders would resume.
Starting today, custom cases can be ordered again on a trial basis. We will be testing new procedures and the trial is only expected to last a few weeks, so now is the time to order if this is what you have been waiting for. The "official" announcement on Social Media will come tomorrow. You heard it here first
I know we still have outstanding orders from July, so a valid question is "How can we do this, while there are still late cases?" As CEO, I have to look at longer view projections: 30 days, 60, 90 and more. The best analogy I can think of is to imagine a vehicle moving at 50 mph when traffic is going 70 mph. Now accelerate that vehicle to 100 mph and it's not hard to see that it will eventually overtake the surrounding cars even though, in the short term, it's still catching up. My job is to recognize when that will happen and plan for it. December is that time-frame.
We have added white as an option (no more special ordering periods). Many of you will notice that the base price has also increased by about 10%. That reflects a more accurate portrayal of the costs involved with one-off custom orders. It also prevents us from undercutting our dealers, which has been a problem in the past. That's a business issue I feel I can discuss openly with our members here on OCN - you're all big boys (and girls) and realize why that is important. I will not be sharing that with the public at large on social media. We have always tried to maintain a policy of transparency with our members here.
For those of you fortunate enough to be able to order during this window, I congratulate you
For the rest, we will do our best to reopen this option if at all possible, later next year.
As always, we're incredibly grateful for all the support we have received. It's what makes this fun, no matter how crazy it gets
