Currently running the following:
i7 860
GTX 560Ti
8gb HyperX Fury (soon to be 16gb)
Now that I'm out of school I have a bit more time to game and decided to buy Battlefield 1. Unfortunately my current 8gb of RAM is no longer enough for gaming even on the absolute lowest settings (everything on Low and the lowest possible resolution). The issue I'm having is simply that I'm running out of RAM. After Battlefield failed twice in multiplayer and another two times in campaign mode I got mad and ordered another set of 2x4gb. I would have gone 2x8 but my P55 mb caps me at 4gb per stick. After ordering I'm not sure if I'm going to regret this since that is another $50 in DDR3 RAM that won't be useful in another build.
So now I have a few questions:
- Is 16gb currently enough for gaming?
- Best budget Intel CPU? Last time I was up-to-date it was the i5 2500K which was the budget overclock king.
- CPU/MB are probably the next upgrade. Which socket should I be looking at?
