I own a G502(3366), Deathadder (3989), EC2 Evo CL(3090), Kone Pure (9800) and Naos (3310) ... Only problem I have with sensors is low PCS because I do not play on high sens, but i am also a casual player hence not needing a top notch sensor

Shape- The shape is similar to that of the mionix naos, but it curves slightly outwards on the right side, kinda like the deathadder but only on the right. Tad weird, but its still somewhat comfortable. I used this mouse for gaming alongside my naos when i had that little phase of having a fetish for mice with pinky and ring finger grooves, and it was quite pleasant at 400 and 800 dpi.

Sensor- The sensor is actually quite decent, i think its an a3080 or something but yes it does have a fair amount of angle snapping. Couldn't make it malfunction, although i don't swipe upwards of 2.5 m/s in a gaming situation. Sensor honestly felt like the onenim the rival 100, with angle snapping turned up one notch.

Coating- Glossy coating on top was quite unpleasant, didnt go very well with sweaty hands and got quite slippery

Buttons- Honestly the dealbreaker, they have so much post travel, and the unseperated buttons from the shell make it very mushy and i can feel it moving the shell from my palm. RMB also became a tad sticky over time.

Polling- Not too sure, but it felt responsive enough to be on par with all my other mice

well, no, there are worse sensors. but yo, 3050, wasn't that developed in 1912?
haha this is true, but im quite a casual player and as long as the sensor isnt an a5050 or something that cant keep up with it beong swiped above 0.5 m/s or something, then i'll honestly be okay with it, $20 aud isnt bad for a pretty mouse that will probably just sit on top of my desk for photos and then put into storage along with the ikari, xornet, g9x etc.

yeah, i'm there with you. that big stream of generic sensor hype dragged me along for a while until i started to see how silly it is.
but undeniably, it does make a difference. tracking accuracy, tracking consistency, pcs, malfunction speed, prediction, variance, etc.
i might not play drastically better with mouse Y compared to mouse X, but it sure can be a lot more comfortable

of course, and ive been exposed to many sensors but still dont notice the difference between the deathadder 2013's s3988, the g502's pmw3366 and the mionix naos' 3310. Only sensor ive really had trouble with is the a3090 in the ec2 evo cl, but i'd blame that on the bloody custom lens ...

What are people saying? 3050 was the "budget" version while 3080 etc was out. I would still consider it better than the 3090 since it's fully smoothing free.

The sensor itself got buried below obscurity since the early mice released with it had poor implementation, (mainly angle snapping). It also performs poorly at higher DPIs.

I'm currently using one of newmens GX with 3050 and I prefer it over the GX with the 3090. I run the mouse at around 500 or was it 800 DPI so all is fine for me.
