I am exploring going to linux on some desktops. We currently have a terminal server and I publish a few apps through it.
Does anyone know of a good rdp client that will allow me to use termservs published apps in a way end users can understand? I don't want remote desktops, just published apps.
Check out "remmina" - it seems to be pretty much exactly what you are looking for. Another option, which is probably even better in your case is to just use the command-line RDP client and launch the published apps via shortcut. You'd simply have a shortcut to the application in this case, and there'd be no need for a GUI to launch them. They'd exist alongside native applications seamlessly. I find the latter is way more effective in removing end-user error. The command line client does support rudimentary graphical login prompts, for applications that require permission to use.
