lol 1050Ti almost to 780Ti.

Wheres the 290x is way ahead. Looks like Nvidia driver really only tune for Maxwell/Pascal. At least maxwell optimization isnt affected.

Well, the 1050ti seems to be a lame card at a lame price offering lame performance. 1050 seems decent enough to engage with.

I knew it, the 1050ti is crap for the money.

1050 on the other hand is a great value.

The 1050 is a NO GO with only 2GB of VRAM. The frame timings are horrible - stuttering a lot. So you either get a 460 4GB GIGABYTE for 120$, or you ponder whether its worth it 165$ for an MSI 1050 Ti card (40% price increase = 20-25% performance increase), when for 200$ you get a ASUS 470 ( 25% increase in price = .50% increase in performance).

I say that i am disappointed. It falls RIGHT between the 460 and the 470, for really bad price.

no, RX460 is complete trash.

you either get 4GB 470 or 3GB 1060. Both of those are best bang of buck in this generation. Nothing beat them in value for money for 1080p. 3gb/4GB vram should be no issue at 1080p

Ur nuts, ive got a gtx 760 with 2gb of vram and never have ran into any issues at 1080p. The gtx 1050 non ti is the winner here hands down.

I know this is an older posting.

I picked up a 1050Ti to get rid of a 760. I had been given the 760 to help me get a running system because a buddy of mine just had it lying around. There is a pretty noticeable difference between what the 760 could do and the 1050Ti can do for me.

I'll admit though, I am happy with the 1050Ti but I didn't pay near retail for mine. I bought for 80$ off Craigslist and sold the 760 for 60$, makes the total cost out of pocket for the 1050Ti about 20$. Even still though I would say that at 80$ this card was worth the price.

DX12.
And what do you mean by broken API?

Nvidia drivers are usually on the same performance as they were when they came out. They usually come out mature.
AMD drivers have been consistently in those times come out with lower performance and they got better over the years (usually it took them 2-3 years to get the full potential of the card). For better or worse, it didn't help AMD sales a lot.
Also part of the reason is that the 390x was actually a revision of 290x, so any performance for the 390x, all applied to the 290x.
