What i'm looking for:

30-34" (28" is worst case, i'd really prefer bigger).
4k/60hz
FREESYNC is a bonus, i'm on an Nvidia GTX1070, but may jump ship if AMD's Vega works out.
1x Display port 1.2a or newer = required. ( 2-3 Displayports + 1 HDMI2.0 is perfect but not required.)
IPS/AHVA or SMVA
Color space : 4:4:4
Good Anti-glare. I do like glossy, but This will be somewhat close to a window for the foreseeable future. I won't shoot down glossy options but it'l have to be conservative gloss.
Budget $300-400 before shipping & tax. $450 all-in. EDIT: might stretch up to $600 if its worth.

My use cases:
Gaming (15ms or faster refresh rate super important).
Watching high def movies and media.

Yamakasi M280PU:
Yamakasi Specs

https://www.amazon.co.uk/YAMAKASI-M280PU-3840x2160-Computer-Monitor/dp/B01G4LSONI/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1477407373&sr=8-1&keywords=yamakasi+4k

can't find any difference in specs for the PU PRO, asked them to clarify since the specsheet look identical right now ( and different sellers, so it may be just be some marketing bull****).

Took a quick search in the forum and it doesn't look like anyone here owns this but just thought i'd ask incase.

I know Yamakasi Catleaps are somewhat popular, just wondering if anyone has any experience with these? seems like great bang for buck, and i'm based in Ireland, so its working out significantly cheaper for me.

My heart is actually set on The Seiki pro SM32UNP, but I can't find any european sellers, and getting it via Amazon would total 560EUR/$608 , which doesn't seem worth at all.

If anyone wants to share their $0.02 about what to get, i'm all ears.

Ive been reading about the QNIX UHD3216R & QNIX UHD325

So far i'm thinking its between:

QNIX UHD3216R , QNIX UHD325 & Yamakasi M280PU .

I see the UHD3216R is the newer between the two QNIX's, is there any key differences between the two, besides FreeSync support?

EDIT:

This 34" Microboard 3440x1440 100mhz Freesync looks sick, so i'm tempted to stretch for it if they'l accept $625 for it.

Why 28"?

Let us know how it goes. Never heard of that brand, but 28" to me is a slight oddball. I would rather shoot for 32 or 34" but yeah the price would near double.

they had an "or best offer" on it, and i undercut by $25. They rejected lol

so i'm back in undecided ville (i'm fickle like that).

My heart is on the microboard, but its a little too expensive for what It is i think (after the import costs to ireland).

I'd probably snap buy it, but I have no evidence that it's a good monitor, so i'm between two minds......

would love to hear what you think of it rexolaboy.

"Yamakasi Catleap" s have been very popular for overclocking , and were in fact the first overclockable korean panels I learned of. They are popular in UK forums like overclockers.co.uk, they have an owners club over there.

The Korean one available now is an R1800 curve and the new Samsung is R1500 , maybe using panels from Samsung's previous curved monitor.

Similar or maybe not at all.

Its beautiful.

Bf4, Squad, Killing Floor 2, Rainbow Six : Siege all look amazing and perform wonderfully on my msi rx 480.

I can confirm that lfrc is functioning. Freesync works well under the 42 hz minimum. Gameplay in First Person Shooters is very fast and responsive even at sub 40 frames per second.

I thought LFC requires a 2.5x refresh rate diffential between min and max? 42-100 doesn't cover that.

Can you feed the monitor a 2560x1440 signal and show us how it handles that? Will it keep the aspect ratio and display black bars? What's the max refresh rate at 2560x1440?

Does it pass the frame drop test? http://www.testufo.com/#test=frameskipping
